Stacks began in January 2000 on Commonwealth Ave. in Los Angeles. Headquarters was the second bedroom of a small apartment. Michael and Laura Leon loved the idea that t-shirts could be used as conversation pieces and even valued as precious souvenirs. They believe the t-shirt can be a platform for simple, thoughtful design. Today, they continue to produce pieces that reflect their personality and sensibilities; drawing from their own unique experience and the common understanding of those in love with music, film, art, and design. 2K was one was one of Stacks earliest design partners. Stacks + 2K is a continuation of this collaboration.
